Chrissy Teigen is a warrior, one of the bravest ones, at that. On social media, it would seem that the model is not afraid of anything – be it calling out politicians, airing her thoughts about a certain matter, or simply lambasting others, all these are common for the wife of John Legend.
However, there is much more to her than this façade, and in fact, her fans would sometimes forget that she is an ordinary human being who has vulnerable moments. While she has given the vibe that she couldn’t be taken down easily, Chrissy admits that she isn’t as strong as we think.
Social Media Queen
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model has rightfully earned the title ‘social media queen’ because of her hilarious narrations, witty comebacks, and smart clapbacks. Because of how awesome she is, she managed to attract legions of followers on different social networking sites, all waiting for what she has to say.
She has exceptionally made being brutally honest fun and what people may probably like about Chrissy is her guts to share even personal tidbits of her life. Many people can relate to her struggles as a mom, wife, and career woman and she usually shares her hardships and problems about these matters online.
Mental Health Problems
This is perhaps the reason people think Chrissy is invincible. It is easy to assume that she isn’t affected by anything because of her no-nonsense personality but she also has bad days.
It is worth noting that she is an open book – meaning she shares even her toughest days. After Luna arrived, Chrissy spoke about suffering from postpartum depression and how it took a long time before she knew what was happening to her.
She revealed how the phase was a dark moment for her and that she didn’t hate her baby rather herself, so she put off getting what she experienced checked. Thankfully, her diagnosis helped her overcome the problem and it eventually prepared her for her second child.
Chrissy admitted she also suffered from anxiety even as a child and she carried it until she grew up. While she sought professional help, she stopped seeing therapists when she was younger after thinking that it was normal for people her age.
‘Not As Strong’
This is why Chrissy tries to filter everything she says on the internet, even though it doesn’t seem like it. She said that she’s careful about what she says on the internet because it is going to last forever. No matter how much she wants to say a lot of things, she ponders on it first if she can deal with the backlash.
Just like other people, Chrissy still also wants to be liked by people so for the sake of her mental health, she sometimes does not say anything.
