Grammy winner Adele turned 32 recently and while fans should have mostly sent well-wishes, the majority of them pointed out that something was different about her. Anyone with eyes can see that the hitmaker lost a drastic amount of weight, sending the internet on fire.
This comes months after she chose to hide from the public eye and years of not releasing new music, which is why more fans went wild after seeing a photo of her. With such an amazing result and successful weight loss journey, many people wondered about the secret to a slimmer body.
According to a source, the singer got help from Harley Pasternak, a famous trainer to celebrities, including Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, and Megan Fox. Apparently, the Born This Way hitmaker referred the Los Angeles-based expert to Adele.
Fans may also recognize Harley from the E! show Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian. The Canadian trainer advises five times a week of training with 35 minutes of strength training per day.
Adele reportedly adhered to the sirtfood diet, wherein she would eat only one meal and consume three green juices per day for three times a week. She would subject herself to a 1,200-diet for the remaining four days.
In terms of the diet part, the Oscar winner was said to tap Jason Harley, a chef in Los Angeles, as per the recommendation of Charlie’s Angels actress Cameron Diaz.
While the transformation was truly amazing and inspiring, many fans were quite cautious in praising the singer, saying those who did commend her new figure were fat-phobic. Her former trainer, Pete Geracimo, defended Adele over comments that questioned the genuineness of her journey.
From when they worked together, the trainer learned that his client is brave enough to do things her own way without conforming to what other people want. Pete narrated that when they started her fitness journey, it was never about being slim rather it is about being healthy.
Reasons for the Journey
While most of us don’t know what triggered Adele to lose weight, Pete said that tough personal changes in Adele’s life last year were what inspired her to lose weight. It is worth noting that she and husband Simon Konecki decided to go separate ways in 2019.
The London-based expert further said that it was just natural for her to find a new sense of self after all she had gone through, so Adele adopted healthier eating habits and became committed to her fitness routine.
