Pop star turned businesswoman Rihanna has been going through a number of busy years in her career. In 2019 alone, she released a 15-pound visual autobiography, expanded her widely successful Fenty beauty empire, and launched her bid in the world of luxury fashion. While not all working women can boast of the same achievements, they could still congratulate themselves for another year of a job well done and follow Rihanna’s example when it comes to striking a work-life balance.
Important Message
In an Instagram post, the beauty mogul apologized to co-workers, family members, and friends who she hasn’t gotten back to yet during the past months. She admitted that she found the year that was to be an ‘overwhelming’ one and that she’s still working on finding a balance between her personal life and work responsibilities. She ended the short message with a simple ‘brb’ (be right back).
This honest message is certainly a fantastic reminder for everyone else who is struggling with the same issue that even an accomplished celebrity like Rihanna puts importance on her personal well-being.
Juggling It All
This isn’t the first time that the businesswoman has shared about her professional life though. She’s previously talked about how she likes to make time to do seemingly simple things like going grocery shopping. She does this by incorporating ‘P’ days on her calendar. The ‘P’ stands for personal days, and she usually takes two to three days at a time to recover from her grueling work schedule.
No Signs of Stopping
Despite these challenges though, the singer doesn’t show any signs of stopping soon. Aside from her many business ventures, Rihanna announced in September 2022 that she would be headlining the Super Bowl LVII halftime show. In the midst of all these, Riri gave birth to her son with ASAP Rocky in May 2022, and in October, she released the single 'Lift Me Up' for the movie 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.' Also, her ninth album was reportedly slated for a late 2019 release but didn’t pan out. Since then, fans have been constantly asking Rihanna about it on social media.
